IBADAN— Rev. Samson Ayokunle, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, asked Nigerians, particularly those from the south, to produce a Christian to take over the mantle of leadership in 2023.

Ayokunle made the remarks at Christ Revival Church, Molete in Ibadan, where he was celebrating his 53rd ministerial jubilee and dedicating a church auditorium.

"Let me implore all Christians in this auditorium to tell other Nigerians that you are wailing about lousy leadership in Nigeria," he said. It's time for you to change the awful leaders with your ballots once more.

"You say you don't want lousy leadership; we're looking for hardworking people who can direct and control Nigeria in a way that the people will respect more."

"Your votes have provided us with yet another opportunity. Anyone who has not yet obtained their Permanent Voters' Card, or PVC, should do so. Please let us know if you have any difficulties accessing yours.

"You can't enjoy good governance from the comfort of your own home if you don't vote for the correct person." It is entirely up to you to vote for the correct leaders. Gather your voter's card at the appropriate time.

Nigeria will never be ruled by evil persons again.

"In Nigeria, evil individuals will no longer govern us." Vote for someone you can vouch for and who has the fear of God in his life, not for someone who is a moneybag or prominent.

"Those who came from the north, who are Muslims, have governed us for eight years." Now is the time for Christians to take control for another eight years, as God intended. In Nigeria, he created us all equally.

"Nigeria has a population of about 200 million people, with 100 million Christians and 100 million Muslims.

"You can't tell me that after eight years of administration by a northern Muslim, you can't find a competent Christian from the South to take over for another eight years out of a population of 100 million Christians."

"That is the wisdom that will ensure the survival of this nation when all ethnic and religious groups are treated equally in the scheme of things, and Christian voters should be included."
